Constituency Centres

The Constituency Centre is a safe space for students to gather together and support each other, share ideas, socialize, build community and raise awareness of issues within their communities. The group members can also enhance their experience at George Brown by holding equitable and accessible events and workshops that aim at reaching out to the most underrepresented students and informing allies on how they can get involved.

There are also opportunities for students to sit on the Student Associations’ Board of Directors as a representative for their constituency to have a chance at having a voice for a body of students and creating change.  Currently our centres include the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Trans, Queer (LGBTQ) Centre, the Centre for Women and Trans People (CWTP), the ASL Student Centre, the Aboriginal Student Centre and the International Student Centre. The LGBTQ and the CWTP currently offer a student employment role, volunteer and placement opportunity.

If you are interested in being involved or want to contact the Representative of these groups please contact the Constituency Coordinator at ccaine@georgebrown.ca or 416-415-5000 x 2439.
